squares & straights

was the way we had

of looking at the world

building our very own

us v them

kidding ourselves over

they the squares

those straights

could never understand our ways

& we in turn pretended

to not get theirs

the issue with this is

we held no power

while they did

& would use

all of it

to get us we felt

to persecute our way of living

& the circle of hate

grew through resentment

ill will

& lets not forget

the stupidity

until some of us grew up
